New York City is a place that any hardworking dancer should experience in the course of his or her career. In the past, elite dancers were selected and invited to provide them with this opportunity, to feel what it would be like as a dancer in a fast-moving industry.

The participants found themselves situated in the same room as some of the most amazing choreographers and dancers seen on television, but in a much more intimate environment. They traveled down Broadway to get to the top studios in New York, and endured a 7-day dance intensive that was highly challenging, both physically and emotionally. At the end of that week, they celebrated together and enjoyed a Broadway Musical Show in Times Square.

Dancers were selected based on a recommendation letter from a teacher/director/choreographer, after fulfilling at least one year of extensive training and progressions. Participants were given the opportunity to experience life lessons of a young adult, as well as tools to train as a working dancer, from hailing a cab to learning how to build a resumé. Not only did they become more educated in a field they love, but the bonds and memories they created would last a lifetime.
